AgenciesAgencies, NGOs, quangos and the their ilk are part of the political process nowadays. BABTAG is talking to them. Read on for relevant correspondence. From: Ann Plackett, Regional Planner, EM Region, English Heritage Your email of 14 February 2009 was forwarded to me. You raised concerns about the apparent lack of a response from English Heritage on the further consultation. I can assure you that we have been engaged in the development plan process from the outset and, as you will see from the attached letter, we have had detailed correspondence with the Borough Council on matters relating to the Core Strategy, as well as related meetings and site visits. Indeed, we were to have had a meeting and site visit with officers from the Borough Council, Leicester City and the County Council to discuss the Hamilton site on 6 February, but it had to be postponed because of the snow. Our detailed comments on the 'Further Consultation' document are set out in the attached letter. I particularly draw your attention to page 5 Question 4.11 that relates to the Thurmaston/Hamilton site. I think that you will find that the comments you quoted have been wrongly attributed to 'English Nature' (now Natural England). I hope that this explanation reassures you that we are taking this matter seriously and will continue to be engaged in the development process.
